Blessing in Disguise!

Haha! Today is the first day of school and guess what? I reported at the wrong place for work!! I am supposed to go back to school for my attachment, instead I went to Health Promotion Board in the morning! And I thought I was super early!

I suppose that it is my fault for not checking before the holidays where I am posted too on the first day of work, but it all ended up well! Naturally, I went to the cab waiting area. Two cabs went by me, 1 rejected me and another I ignored( Which I am still puzzled why I did it). I went straight for the 3rd one and got on the ride. The driver was an old chinese man who speaks fluent English. Right in front, the first thing that caught my eye was a label, " God shines the brightest in the dark" ( and something something which I forgot :P).

But I know that it has something to do with Christianity, and so I decided to ask him if he was a christian out of curiousity. He immediately said yes, and I asked him "What kind? Catholic, or christian christian?" He said, "there is no such thing as types of Christians, only Christ followers", and I was bought in.

He then shared lots of things that he had learnt in his christian life. A few of which I remember, is about tithing, the one who is "greatest" in heaven, false prophets and also about love.

Love, faith, hope. Which is more important? Love, because love give us faith in people, in ourselves. Without love, there is no faith, and when there is no faith, there is no hope. And when you dont have hope, you are hope-less.

This is something, perhaps, I have heard quite a few times in my life, but it has never struck me so strongly before. This few lines, gives me the new level of motivation to try and love people, especially those hard-to-love ones. People, if you know me and are reading this post, please try and  correct me when I am not doing this okay?

God, thank you for using this taxi driver to speak to me and help me find hope in life again! You really do lead people when they are lost!! I pray that this taxi driver that you used today, will continue to bless all his passengers and also that he will be blessed with all the riches that he has when he reach heaven! :D
