August 05

Today, you could say, is the WORST day of my life. I was caught by Mr.Low and Mr.Poon(or so i call him) for JAY-walking, near the LRT station! And so, i was called back- to the blue room- and stayed there for about a few minutes before i was being consulted. Blah blah blah, and i went home after that.

-Today's topic-

I bet you all already know what i am going to talk about. If your guessing another emotion, give a tight slap to yourself but if your guessing JAY-WALKING- a round of applause then.

Okay, just to let you know, jaywalking is a controversial topic- you can sense total biasness here- but hey, i am talking about what i think- so yea.

Firstly, Let me ask you a question. Would you cross a road;short distance, no cars
are in sight, and that the end of the road could be seen more than 100metres away? IF i were you, i would say yes. It's almost guaranteed that you have no chance of getting bang by a car. So why not?

Some people might be saying that, by jaywalking when the man is red- your taking a risk. Let me ask them something, aren't we taking risks everyday? We take risks while we are walking down a road. A risk of tripping over something or even yourself. A risk of being robbed. A risk of being raped. A risk of being critisied. A risk of getting soaked. A risk of getting embarassed. A risk of getting skin cancer. A risk of being sick.

When we are making friends, we are also taking risks. A risk of being used. A risk of losing another friendship. A risk of making enermies. Yet we still take the risk, why? That you have to ask yourself. We take this risks as nothing- so why are we so bothered about the risk of being knocked over by a car when we had checked for ourselves that they are not there?

Besides, we are also taking risks when we walked across the road when the man is green. Since a car can "maybe miraculously appear when we are jaywalking" or so some people say. I don't see why it won't "mirculously appear when we are NOT jaywalking".

Also, a car might not stop when the man on their side turned red and ours turned green. According to the rules, we are to walk when the man turn green. So if that situation really did occur to you, don't tell me your just going to walk- thinking that you are safe. If you are, i have absolutely no comments. IF your not, then let me ask you this, why? why not walk? it's the the green man for heaven's sake, we are to WALK! The answer is actually really simple . It's because we have a brain; we can think- we know the consequences. So if it could apply to this, i really don't see why we couldn't apply that when the man is red.

Okay, i guess that's all for my blabbering. See ya, next time around.
